The aim of the present investigation was to standardize in vitro shoot tip culture technique considering various aspects for direct plant formation two onion (Allium cepa L.) varieties ‘Indian’ and ‘Taherpuri’. About 1.5-2.2 mm tips were collected from bulbs sterilized with 0.1% HgCl2 duration.
